Who writes our content
Articles are published by the DivineAdda Editorial Team — writers and editors with a long personal and academic interest in Hindu scripture, festivals and Vedic astrology. Each piece has one writer and at least one reviewing editor before it goes live.
Sources we use
- Primary texts — the Vedas and Upanishads, the Ramayana and Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita and the Puranas, in respected translations.
- Scholarly works — published translations, commentaries and academic studies of Hindu traditions.
- Panchang and astronomical data — established Panchang calculations for tithi, nakshatra and festival dates, calculated for India unless stated otherwise.
- Living tradition — temple practice, regional customs and guidance from practising priests, clearly labelled as such.
We do not treat social media posts, forwarded messages or unsourced claims as evidence. Where a story has several versions, we name the version we follow.
Research and review process
- The writer drafts from primary and secondary sources and lists them for the editor.
- An editor checks facts, names, dates, Sanskrit terms and tone, and removes exaggerated or fear-based claims.
- Festival guides are re-checked each year against the current Panchang before the festival.
- Astrology content is written as guidance for reflection, never as a promise of outcomes.
How we use AI tools
We sometimes use AI tools to help with research outlines, summaries, translations or first drafts. AI output is never published without human review: an editor checks every fact and quotation against sources, rewrites for accuracy and tone, and takes responsibility for the final text. Our interactive AI assistant is clearly labelled, and its answers are automated rather than editorially reviewed.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising and shop sales. Where an article links to a product in our shop, the product link never changes what we say about the tradition itself.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. Significant corrections update the article's "last updated" date, and material errors are noted at the end of the article. To report an error, send the page address and the correction through our contact page. We aim to review reports within 5 working days.
Updates
We review popular articles periodically to keep them accurate and useful, and each article shows when it was published and last updated.
